I do agree with Maff. I don't even know what he's alluding to with the darkest darkest stuff of DS, but at the time just before covid, I was an enormous David Starr fan, I loved his whole "One man against The Fed" gimmick he had going, king of the Independents, man who wanted to but couldn't beat WALTER, etc. He had a good thing going at the time. Bought a bunch of his gear, met him at Progress shows, he seemed cool. Really took the shine off wrestling for a while for me when my 100% guy who I was backing to the hilt was, as Maff put it, a mega nonce who (allegedly) did what he did to his girlfriend or whoever else. Took some time off watching after that one.
