In between sorting out a bunch of other stuff, I spent some time this week scribbling the surly teenager I will be playing in an upcoming Kids on Bikes game. Her name is Beatris, and she cannot stand her part-time job as a guide at the local sawmill museum - but work is work, and she could recite the guided tour spiel in her sleep by now. Putting together her outfit meant spending a LOT of time trying to remember what on earth people wore in rural Sweden in 1998 - it's been a long time since I lived through it, after all.
On another note - we've reached the end of October! Thank you all for sticking with me as far as you have. If some of you have got to leave - and some already have - I understand. Global economic crisis looms, after all. I'm grateful for everyone who sticks around, as Patreon remains my most regular source of income.
Thank you all.
I've finally got an appointment with an orthopedic clinic this week, for them to assess the state of my ailing hand and put together some sort of treatment plan once we've figured out what is wrong with me. I am suspecting carpal tunnel, combined with my various underlying hypermobility and strain-related problems.
I don't know how long proper treatment is going to take, nor how serious my issues are, but I am hoping it is not the catastrophe my anxious brain likes to convince me that it is.
As such, I don't want to commit to any solid plans for what I will be posting here in November - I don't know what I will be able to manage to type or draw, and I've been working on so many long-term things this year that my tank is a little bit empty at the moment. I have a few things in the works, but they're still very much in the early-assembly stage of the process, and a lot of it is just me staring blankly into the distance waiting for ideas to crash together.
And since 2022 has been a bit of a year, that crashing of ideas is not the speediest it's ever been.
Plans
However, I don't want to leave you all hanging completely, so I am going to be running a General Q&A towards the middle/end of November. If there are any questions you've ever wanted to ask me - about my work, about my process, about my taste in anime, about my cat, my stash of tea, or my collection of skulls, now is the time to do it. Pretty much anything goes!
Leave your questions here below, and I'll start going through them.
