Hello, everyone!
January sure went *swoosh*, didn't it? I've been hard at work on the graphic novel pitches, which has meant a LOT of sitting around, drinking tea and staring blankly into space while the ideas happen - but I am making very good progress! I'm a few thumbnails away from having the first draft of a complete thumbnail-script for the Lanval comic done!
But right now, that looks like a lot of messy, unreadable-to-anyone-but-me scribbles on a sketchpad, so.
Instead I bring you the two annual things I do my best to participate in each year: Hourly Comics Day - in which you get a view into my absolutely riveting daily life - and that most holy and sacred of festivals, celebrating its tenth anniversary this year - Goblinweek! My theme for this year's goblins was nightjars - and also 'fancy tea house', I guess.
They were both fun, even if I did spend a lot of Hourly Comics Day with leftover brain-fog from my booster shot.
Once I'm done with the thumbnail draft, I'm taking a few days to poke at character-designs for the other graphic novel idea, and maybe draw something cute for Valentine's Day (which is just around the corner and can someone *please* pull the emergency stop??) - I'll be back next week with more new stuff, hopefully!
