next page. i'm planning on sketching them all out first, probably... unless i get hit with a mood where i really want to line for hours i guess? i'm expecting this in-world sequence to be about 2 more pages.
i'm contemplating making this page a little wider just because it feels so suffocating to have the columns' panels so close to each other.
the other thing i learned on this page is that one disadvantage of drawing the panels myself is that these are not easy to pace with expert timing. this comic definitely won't be my magnum opus but at least it can be a look at the characters.
oh, i should mention, also -- quinn's tail is a bloom of purple hyacinths. they are flowers commonly given as a symbol of regret, or as an apology.
this is also the first time that quinn's full name, which is quintessence, appears.
post-color edit: i'm wiped by the work on this page today and i don't remember much of what i wanted to say. i am PLEASED that the pace remains strong now for finishing this, and i finished tinkering with romeo's updated design while lining this page.

i really enjoyed this one. this is such a rich with substance page. there's less going on in the izzi one, but it's a very drawn out switch. seems to me like that makes sense given that she is just getting worried. meanwhile felix alter struggle is explosive due to the trigger (one of many they've endured this entire ride), and there's a lot going on, emotionally and "physically" (in their struggle w the control panel). the page before this made "space" for all this action, with the silent panels, making for great pacing overall i like the route this is taking. i looked through the thumbs of the original draft, and while i think there were a lot of things to think about there, i genuinely prefer the deeper character development focus you are taking with the rewrite. it's awesome to see both versions though, thank you for that
