2023-12-22 20:44:07 +0000 UTCTo the woman with the MIL drama. My MIL is exactly the same way, and my husband and FIL have always just let her have her way because it’s “easier”. It used to drive me insane, to the point where I filed for divorce because I refused to have a husband who didn’t support me - and there really wasn’t enough info here to infer whether or not your husband supports you, but if he doesn’t, get the two of you into some couples counseling. It’s super important to have a husband who is your teammate, even in situations with his mother. And also, with women like our MILs, pick your battles. Make a big deal about big deals but if it’s something simple like donating the clothes, donate the clothes. My husband and I are still together and he has learned how to be my teammate and will take on major battles against his mom now. Good luck girl! ❤️

2023-12-21 16:07:00 +0000 UTCI agree with if your MIL gives stuff (cause it's gonna be this kids whole life) just say thank you and give it away/donate it. My inlaws do this to my son. I'm pleasant about it but then if it doesn't fit or I don't like it I get rid of it. They do this with toys too (my kid's not into toys anymore). I'm more annoyed that I'm getting stuff that I have to deal with and that fills up my house! Goodluck!
