It is not cruel to fix your dog, it is however kind of cruel not to if they can never mate/won't be able to express their full animalistic behaviours. You should be fixing them as soon as their old enough for it, any amount of puberty in a dog will make them more "wild" but fixing them early is essentially castrating them as a child they will never advance past the 'child' state of behaviour.. essentially will keep them more puppy like forever... And if you think it's cruel ask yourself, if responsibility didn't exist, did you prefer having the mind of a child or the mind of a grown ass adult 😅
