Misadventure idea: In honour of Brent Hinds, Mislav prints a cardboard cutout of him from OfficeWorks and puts it up in Bondi for Sculptures By The Sea.

On Jordans critique on people having too much free time. Dude, people don't have the funds and we know this. If people could maintain their finances while on the 3-4 day work week, I can assure you, that will push for their drive to get to where they want to be in life.
I decided my 20s to secure my mortgage finance to the point that my sister is able to take risks to push for her business to grow.
You need secured environment to brave the risks and most people don't have that privilege.
Self help works, but do need to account for your surroundings.

Modern Economics (orthodox econ) has been more or less taught religously. Don't question the laws or mathematics, as they are absolute ( or we forgot why we still adhere to the rules). As someone who has done alot of maths in my degree, I can confidently say any math formula to model the real world isn't perfect.
Funnily enough, Yannis Varoufakis who was an advocate for making the discipline pluralist (to include views like marxism) taught at USyd in the 2000's. He constantly criticises the over mathematisation of the discipline.

I can't believe after all theses years of up late none of Friendlyjordies enemies have clip any of the super spicy things that have been said here and used it against him. Is it just laziness or they don't know how to spin it or their plan is always just ignore FJ ?

I moved to Norway this year and beer prices at the pub are insane, cost a similar amount to cocktails. Cheapest schooner is like $20 ish but my mate got one for over $30 when he was visiting and he was too depressed to enjoy it. Bottleo will close at 4-6pm on Saturdays and can’t buy any supermarket beers after 6pm. Can’t get any drinks on Sundays too only pubs can sell alcohol then. Young Norwegians usually drink shitty cheap beer for pres and then shots while out since it’s the cheapest option by far but they go out much less often than in Australia.

Sweden's bottle shops all close at 5pm. Pubs are open and the cost was similar to Australia in 2014, but it's definitely not cheap to drink alcohol now, which is good in many ways. Interesting that the John Curtin hotel didn't like it given its association with unions. Enjoying the self help perspective too. Action is important.

I majored in Political Economy at usyd and did a minor in Econ, and can 1000 percent confirm that Political Economy is way more diverse and interesting - lot of Marxists, but also a bunch of Post-Keynsians and even the occasional Austrian
