I don't have many clients at work with a balance over $3million but we've done calculations and the tax is honestly insignificant. The extra tax is only on the portion of earnings in the fund over $3million dollars so even if you had $3.5million and your fund earnt 10% for the year, you're paying an extra 15% tax on $50,000 - So $7,500. Your balance at that point fluctuates by more than that day to day. The new tax really isn't that big of a deal like the media are making it out to be.
