Analog/digital stuff aside it seems that cultural pendulum between the big cock rock or hip hop (which terry the hat must have epitomised) and outsider glammy stuff being cool is accelerating, it’s a decade cycle now, the rise of fall of emo/goths attests. It took rome hundreds of years, and has been possibly more like a century since the renaissance… it’s not like I am all across the charts especially now but can’t really think of many examples of glam crossing over except empire of the sun and that’s getting old now haha certainly it ties into the gen z convo, generalisations of course, but the weirdo kooky arts stuff can too easily be seen as cringe and weak 😂 which is sad but it’s just the cycle - bravura and grittiness is more trendy, just look at how so many gen z guys are allergic to anything but rap or cock rock (cite reference)
