2024-08-06 01:17:20 +0000 UTCUnderstandable that Mislav hates house of leaves, but I loved it. My interpretation is that the allure of the house is the same as the book itself. Some people who learn of the mystery of the house become obsessed with it, such as Navidson. All of the digressions in the book have meaning, whether it be through metaphor or through codes. When I finished the book I did a lot of research into these things because I’m not smart enough to work it out on my own, but literally everything in it has some meaning. Obviously not everyone has this reaction to the book, just like how Navidson’s wife didn’t want anything to do with the house. At the end of it all it’s not about the mystery itself but the different ways people react to mystery and unknown dangers, and the toll that obsession takes on the mind and soul. Wank answer I know but I love hearing people’s reactions to this book.

I’m also sus on any union that doesn’t call itself a union, but there isn’t really another one for us to sign up to. I guess that’s what being a “true believer” is all about, putting up with the bullshit you don’t like because overall you know supporting the movement is for the best.
