Atallah Khoury աթալլահ

come to Richmond VA, ex capital of the Confederacy (the south in Civil war)

Federico Almenara-Dumur

🤣 I fucking love stories about Thu 😂😂😂

Darien M

Mislav is a lot like the scene, they’ve both changed

Jacob Noonan

I recommend exactly the same things for ppl going to New Orleans. Including Nic Cage’s mausoleum! And of course the French Quarter. I heard a report that Nola needs a ton of civil work (roads, potholes etc), making life there really hard. All the more reason to go spend our dollars there. The true hidden gem of America IMO is Savannah, Georgia. For visual reference: it’s where most of Forest Gump was filmed

Few things, the fakeout bit was great Mis; do you think you could talk about twin peaks specifically on one of these? New Orleans is a truly unique city, see it before it's gone guys. I went on a history and a ghost tour there and I don't think I've felt as specially reverential of the historical significance of a place than the hotel that used to be the slave auction site. Surely one of the most haunted places of all time before counting vampires and Nic Cage's pyramid mausoleum. And Mis you're totally right about old rebel country which was anti authoritarian, deeply political, pro labor and generally just better in terms of artistry and modern bullshit country made for people to listen to in their 100 grand mastodon sized pickup in line at starbucks who hate big government but support the police unwaveringly. Also I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time

In terms of where I’d love to live in the U.S.A; based off pure aesthetics of it, I’d choose Palm Springs, California. Look it up on google maps street view and just go through some of the neighbourhoods, it has a desert 1950’s Googie architecture style which I love and it is what road runner from loony tunes is from in a way. Idk why but I love the desert / 50’s era architecture look. Desert, pools, cocktails and palm trees. It seems like a quiet place where you could happily live and relax. Though, to raise a family and live in your younger years, I think Texas offers the most for you career wise and also offers industry, natural beauty and rich cultures (Mexican food, American bbq food etc) Relatively a safe area (for now) and has great climate. Texas offers great suburbs and also great land. But palm strings has my heart purely based off the fact I’d love walking through the streets at 5pm sunsets and taking in the look of the place. I think Jordan would agree

I have listened to every up late since you introduced it on Patreon. I work full time in a factory with AirPods in haha. Let me tell you, Mislav is a lot more calmed and coherent. He’s stringing sentences along better and is creating sentences and conversations without blaring out scattered background thoughts. He’s listening more and stringing along with ideas and thoughts. Pretty wild haha.

Matt

If you're getting into country the best artist is Colter Wall. Also look at Charley Crockett Red Clay Strays Sturgill Simpson

Sean Armstrong

As a staunch Living End fan of new and old, fuck you for making me listen to Proton Pill. It's the shit followup to 21st Century, the other song you're talking about. EDIT: I live in Canberra and am originally from Newy. Yes I want government hand outs, hence the move to Canberra for work. Bit shit without the beaches but.

Your brain works but now your destroying your kidneys can't bloody win

Darien M

Mis.. ffs keep taking the Ritalin, you’re still the same old you, but I have noticed just from this pod, even when talking, you don’t look your train of thought as easily and your trademark diatribes are much easier to follow

Joshua William

It’s definitely the best for cheap meth!

Hill Billy

Appalachia has to be the best part of the States, no doubt about it

Lachlan Hall

Listening to Mislav describe the changes in his life since starting Ritalin is making me realise that I think I might also have ADHD...fuck! Happy for you, king, enjoy the newfound focus :)

ElderZillennial

Happy for you Mislav

Emi

On the topics of focus, Jordan can you talk about psychological ‘flow’ on Jordan Shanks. Like how to get into it, stay there, the benefits of completing tasks while in it. I reckon it’d pop off on the self help channel

ryan-bagge

If you guys like goofy but classic action films, try The Beekeeper with Jason Statham. America’s leading secret agents are entrusted with beekeeping, treated as guardians of the planet. It’s like the movie was written just for Jordan. … and it goes all the way to the president …

Hill Billy

Mislav, my offer still stands: Move to Appalachia and be our au pair. We’ll get you all the banjos your heart can desire

Hill Billy

For the next mis adventure we need to equip him with the Ray ban glasses that can also film so we can get pov footage of his adventures

Marc

I’m so proud of Mislav! Finally taking his meds. It’s life changing, it truly is.

Christopher Jones

Well Mis you didn't watch the Buffy film that is why it didn't make sense

Raelyn Nocturne

You’ve changed man

Vish

Ritalin helps anxiety and dexies help the innatention
