Love the pod, but I do feel obligated to mention here that bats are really critical to the Australian ecosystem, as well as for agriculture, forest pollination, and disease control globally - I'm an ecologist and have published research on native Australian microbats, and sadly the situation is pretty dire. Bats also extremely negatively impacted by the rampant habitat destruction we saw under the Liberal party, and by the constant barrage of shit developments going up across Melbourne and Sydney that pollute the night sky. It would actually be amazing if Jordan could use his platform to advocate for improved conservation efforts for threatened bat species - some (not me) would argue they're not as cute and cuddly as koalas, but they're super important and often overlooked! As a long-time fan I would be SO stoked to see that, and happy to provide any research or assistance in bringing that issue to light. Maddi :)
