SUPPORT:

Reinstall the Gumboy to your avatar if any critical issues occur to ensure it wasn't due to an error when installing. I cannot respond to all questions on how to install the Gumboy itself, but I may update installation instructions with more info. If any glitches with the Gumboy occur, attempt to reproduce the issue.

Installation Instructions:

Preface: UPDATE YOUR VRC SDK AND VRCFURY BEFORE IMPORTING. The Gumboy is affected by bug fixes and features that were added days before release, so you must have the MOST RECENT versions.

1. Drag the Gumboy.prefab directly onto your avatar in the hierarchy on the left side.

2. Move the Gumboy object onto the right Hand (or Wrist) bone in your avatar's armature.

3. Move the Gumboy in the scene until it is in the hand. It should float off the palm to prevent the hand holding it from pressing the buttons.

4. Click "GBHead" which is inside the Gumboy prefab. Drag your avatars "Head" bone into the Sources list on "GBHead"

5. (Optional) If you intend on playing in desktop, check the positioning of the floating screen. Navigate to the "Board" in the Gumboy's armature and change the weight of "World target" to 0, and "GBHead" to 1. Move around "GBHead" until the screen is in a desired position for playing in desktop mode. It is recommended to put it on the left side to prevent the radial menu from blocking the screen. Return the source weights of "Board" to their original weights.

6. Click "Activate" on the parent constraint of "GBHead"

7. Drag materials from the Materials folder onto the screen and console to select desired appearance. (Make sure to check the Deluxe folder!)

8. Upload! VRCFury may take several minutes due to the complexity of the Gumboy.

9. For the Quest version of your avatar, repeat the above steps with the Quest prefab, skipping steps 4-6 and using Quest Materials instead.

If you have more unity knowledge, you can also duplicate your avatar to make a Quest version and let VRC auto-remove the Audio Systems and Parent Constraints from the Gumboy, then just drag Quest Materials on it instead! Just make sure to only auto-fix your quest duplicate, not your PC one. That will break the constraints and audio for it.

If something seems to be wrong with your installation, or it seems to be incompatible with your avatar (outside the Common Issues section on the store page,) contact GumboSupport on Discord. I cannot guarantee that I will always be able to help.
