Really? I find that hard to believe with unions and all that. Maybe corporate donations but not all of them.

Jeff Kaplen

You actually can't tow heavy loads with most available electric vehicles, the gcm issue comes along pretty quickly. Also not interested in removing a perfectly good fuel tank and ice that I probably enjoy using to replace with batteries that will give me range anxiety and lose interior space.

I wouldn't ever buy a new car myself either however, if I was buying something brand new it would definitely be electric. You can tow with any electrical vehicle even a Nissan leaf. If you're mere into fixing your own cars you could look into converting a classic to electric, it's much similar than you would think. I'm an Autoelec and have converted a couple myself.

Further, I don't buy new cars and I require a tow vehicle that isn't a ute and that I can fix myself.

Alex Isaac

But I wouldn't trust a Chinese car for reliability and manufacturer support within or outside warranty.

peter malinauskas the new sa premier said he would ban political donations is that not an interesting topic

seriously electric cars are'nt that expensive anymore. chinese models like the MG and BYD are only $40-45k and are much better quality than a Nissan Leaf (seriously wouldnt touch one) a lot of people dont realize there are plenty of places to charge your car for free which could save yourself a bit of $. Not to mention you cab charge your car at any 10A socket just a little slower. I have a hybird and would save $2.6k a year on petrol if i went electric.
