An example of Soviet nuclear aggression: According to a Timeline doco I watched on YouTube, while Russia and China were at war over some territorial disputes (mainly in Manchuria), Brezhnev wanted to end it by dropping nukes (which China didn’t have at the time). (A lot of people assume China and the Soviets were mates, but they split around 1960.) From memory, I think Brezhnev’s generals vetoed it immediately.
