I surmise that AUSTRLIA is aiming for herd immunity without saying it out loud by saying that they are no longer going to do lockdowns but instead lockouts for the unvaccinated. Also there is a current state legislation in Victoria that has passed the lower house, which if it passes the upper house then it would give the Victoria premier the power to call lockdowns for three months at a time. This legislation has no expiry date and would be extremely hard to remove. I personally do not agree with this legislation since it gives too much power and control to one person and is not democratic. The premier would also be able to fine businesses and people for not being 'fully vaccinated' or permitting unvaccinated entry. Also the unvaccinated can be jailed up to two years.
