May Sketchbook Post
Added 2020-05-01 15:20:39 +0000 UTCSo, I think I talked about this a little previously, but I'm thinking at the beginning of every month I'll do a post like this of things I've been doing my sketchbook and that kind of thing!
I'm going to be cheating a tiiiiny bit this month with some older stuff, but I hope you don't mind.

I'm trying to focus on drawing cityscapes lately, since I live in New York and it's something I struggle with drawing, so why not. During this whole pandemic thing I've been making an effort to go take some bike rides once in a while to move around and clear my head, and that first drawing is from one of those rides.
The weird plant drawings are from this other idea I've had floating around in my head for a while:
I've had this idea for a fantasy comic, mostly wordless, for a while, that I've been scribbling out ideas for for a couple of years now. Recently I started sort of doing this kind of like... proto thumbnails? For it? I have no idea where I'd post it or what sort of drawing style I'd do it in, I'm mostly used to drawing fanart and furry stuff at this point, but it feels good to start planning it out, anyway.
I do a lot of figure drawing, too, it's one of my favorite activities. Sorry about the poor image quality on that last one, it was on pretty big paper so I had to take a photo of it on my iPad. These both Before Pandemic (B.P.) but they're pretty recent. The figure drawing class I've been attending regularly has been doing video chat drawing sessions, so I'm hoping to catch at least one of those this month.
That's all I have for now - it's honestly been kind of hard to just draw for fun lately! I'm hoping to break out of that this month, and hopefully my next one of these posts will be a little more organized. Maybe I'll make a cuter header for it. WE SHALL SEE.
