Plot Synopsis!
Out of college, out of a job, out of luck. Max is a girl who grew up with a passion for the paranormal: monsters, ghouls, geists galore! The life Max lives is a rough one, having left college, having no income and having to rely on her absent father for support. Her luck seems to run out when her father seemingly disappears off the face of the earth and is kicked out for not paying month upon months of rent. However, after a chance encounter with a mysterious bum in an alleyway, Max’s life gets flipped on it’s head as she is welcomed into a mysterious world filled with creatures she could only dream of existing.
Max, our hero! Quiet but straightforward Has loved monsters, cryptids and other nasties since childhood. In a bit of a rough patch in her life but everything seems to change one day as she is kicked out of her home and stumbles upon a mysterious "bum"...
Akizuki! A lively, enigmatic yet a tad lazy, Oni that puts others needs before her own, and always wants to lend a helping hand. Owns a small café where she treats fellow monsters, but she shows interest in humans. Leaves the monster realm one day and is soon aided by Max.
Henry, a young ghoul who seems around Max's age and is a barista at Akizuki's café. Rather aloof but very skilled in his craft. Sees Akizuki as not only a boss but a teacher. Has urges to bite Max sometimes.
