In our last newsletter, we suggested planting seeds as a metaphor for life. If you haven’t done this yet, plant some seeds. If you don’t have much space, plant just one houseplant — or look for a community garden nearby.
In the metaphor, seeds represent a vision for your life. Soil is the foundation for your seeds to grow and flourish. Water nurtures and activates growth. Weeding and pest prevention is the release of distracting or harmful thoughts. The harvest is the reward, the goal accomplished.
When we meditate, we create a rich, spiritual foundation within ourselves. We can "plant" whatever we want to accomplish in our lives. When we plant a seed, we don’t see the roots developing and taking shape. However, we start to feel a change within. We then begin to see the “fruits” of our work. Whatever we want to grow, nourish and develop is working within us because we started with rich, watered soil.
Bloom Where You’re Planted
Spring is a time of growth, change, life, and light. Flowers bloom, filling the air with fresh scents. Seeds grow into buds, which grow into blossoms, then flowers and fruits.
In our lives, we often claim that we would be more fulfilled, if.... A few examples:
My career would grow if I could get a better job, or if I had a different boss.
Our relationship would improve, if (he/she/we) would just....
I would feel at peace, if I lived in a different neighborhood or city.
Do you make "if" statements like these? If so, think of one you’d like to transform in your life, put it to words, and write it down.

Now, for the next 30 days, bloom where you’re planted. Each day:
- Listen to our Episode 40, Self Acceptance.
- Notice how it feels to be simply you, and to let go of self-criticism and dissatisfaction.
- Intend to bring this self-acceptance into the situation that you wish to change. (Inhale, acknowledge; exhale, release.)
- Experience the outcome of your wish, right where you are. ("How would it feel, if ____ was already the way I wish it was?")

Right now, we publish a meditation, a "TMP Chats", and a newsletter each month. We work on the podcast every Monday. This includes planning, writing, recording, replying to messages, etc. We try to spread these out so that you get things regularly, but sometimes our schedules are at the mercy of Life. Expect to see new meditations in the week or so before the end of the month, and TMP Chats around the middle of the month. As our subscriber base grows, we plan to post more content more often, and to set a definite schedule for the chats, newsletters, and new/future content.
