travelin (long post)

so i was gifted a weekend experience in DC.

last weekend i experienced the experience and lemme tell ya it was a fantastic time and i didn't wanna leave! it was my first time flying since January 2020. best experience tbh. i went to attend the JIDxSmino concert – my first intimate indoor concert as an audience member since pre-pandemic. it was so great i'm already tryna figure out who i wanna see next.
i got to see and hang out with some really dope friends, some for the first time in person! plus, we got to visit Renwick Gallery and see Mr Washington's Pencil! i rode the metro for the first time and had a pleasant experience. (i was very afraid to because my only other underground travel experience was a New York subway during a school field trip in the mid/late 2000s... it was not a fun time. but this time was. mostly.)

we walked 20+ mins in very windy weather on the day that it snowed, UPHILL, to get the meatiest gyoza and one of the best bowls of ramen we've ever had. it was well worth the trek. and i fell in love with this really nice bookstore on the way so it took a bit longer than 20 mins to get there. teehee, my fault~

bout those dope friends – my friend Bishop showed me around. we met up with our friend CerealSensei at one of them malls. hold on lemme look it up.. Arundel Mills sounds right. we walked a few laps around there. shopped and talked, 29/10 would do again (at a different mall mostly bc i wanna see em all). and then my friend T40Productions took me to get Caribbean curry chicken and then to the Third Eye Comics in Annapolis and it was just woooowww. they got two sides of a building worth of stuff. (there's an establishment in the space between them.) and they had Domo comics so of course i got one.

i wanna go back to DC. i got more to see. and eat. and read... the sky is really pretty there too.. lemme know if you wanna see more adventure photos. i gotta figure out how to post this flight video... love you. thank you for still being here. it really means a lot.
