Draft Script: The Air We Breathe
Added 2024-06-03 12:47:59 +0000 UTCHello everyone, I've been working on this script while I finish off my book. It's a bit shorter than the Sowell vids - though as you'll see it's a kind of covert Sowell part 1.5.
I'd REALLY appreciate help from anyone with knowledge of medicine and science because I don't want any major misinformation out there.
Also any thoughts on the opening would be welcome...too much Futurama? Too little? Who knows!

Hey sorry ive been on a manic episode for like a few days. I will leave some notes on this. I feel like it jeeds to go beyond Bourdieu and more into Lacan and Zizek

2024-08-07 22:04:52 +0000 UTCI'm a bit late to the party. I think this is a difficult topic to make a "short" video about because there's so much that could potentially be covered. I have a small comment for the last part on carbon taxing, as I think it's dangerous to focus solely on engine exhaust as a source of air pollution from traffic. Tyres are also a significant problem. I'm not an expert in this, but my understanding is that the producers of tyres keep the composition a trade secret, so we don't actually know what compounds are released into the air as the tyre wears down. Cars also whirl up dust when they drive, which creates a circulation of particles into the air. I think it's worth at least mentioning that electric cars does not mean zero air pollution. Given that electric cars are heavier they also cause more wear on the tyres and because they're heavier, they are fitted with softer tyres to reduce noise, but which also wears down quicker
