To be fair there is a link (not to say connection π) between shaking, and releasing stress or tension. It is a physiological thing.
It is a fact (and I think she tried referring to that) that animals (people also) in stress go to fight, flight or freeze mode.
While fighting and running away demand a lot of movement- the stress is released instantly.
On the other hand when animal freezes, it usually shakes it off after the danger is gone. In case of big stres it happens to humans also. But 1. We usually live in chronic stress, not addressed or released. Lasting to long periods of time
2. Most of the time it is not socially acceptable to physically start shaking, after some situations that we froze. (For example at work, you can have a stressful confrontation with boss, you will not go after that and start shaking)
So the tension builds up. There are therapies, that focus on this physical aspect of trauma, or "stress-build up"
It's a physiological thing, and it has scientifical ground, but she covered it with all the spiritual talk and connecting to mother earth shit. :/
