I can see what she means, but she sounds like someone that hasn't been married. It's anecdotal stuff I'm pulling here as reference, but of the married couples I've seen, they rarely default to being one sided. Those that have stuck around for the long haul tend to find their place and will often burden share. It shifts at times, but is shared. Marriage isn't just 'service' in the sense she's said it, but it does play a role for all involved.

She's right tho. Wanting your partner to be an adult isn't a crazy ask. I'm sure she wouldn't mind participating in a relationship if she didn't have to manage both of their lives on her own. If 2 people are together, 2 people should be in it.

Agreed to a certain extent. I may be "trash" but I don't clutter anyone else with it. My misery doesn't need company. My comment was only meant as common ground from a lived experience, Not condoning selfish existence at one's own detriment. If I'm aware of what I've already stated then I would hope self reflection and awareness is how I came to the foregone conclusion. And I watch this content so I can't be too myopic of my self preservation.

well unfortunately most people do little to nothing to help change who and what they're surrounded by, and so from being complacent you get garbage people around you but you are also garbage for not searching within to be like ok if this is the constant that I seem to be around garbage, hmm seems like I am the consistent variable a little self-improvement and soul searching can go along way , I only say this cause I have been in that state of mind saying most people are garbage but what comes down to is you and who are will to allow yourself around and what you will or will not do to change it , I see it in my own family and I see it in everyday people that make this type of complaint PS just a thought

its another one of those types of people that are like my gender is better then this gender because. and its one those its because that's what you have chosen to deal with or what you have dealt with , to assume that's how most of a gender are is a limited view that only traps you in the end. that's why you have to find a way to break out and find new ways to create better opritunitys as mentioned in the video, that's why I believe there's no absolute 1 and only answer to most things in life , being mentally limited like that does more harm then good hence the eye twitch

Agreed unfortunately like her alot of people's lived experience consistently had garbage people around them. So they figure why not be alone. As for the cat thing they are more loyal then family members most often. (Obviously my experience) I would very much like to have people in my life if they didn't for lack of a better word suck. Also my cats say hi! Lol!...
