I 100% agree with Aba and Preach. Biden announced that he was going to be giving Ukrainian 1billion dollars (to start) and continue to aid them until the war is over. I’m like, my dude what the fuck happened to cancelling student debt? What about all the homeless people and drug addicts we have running around America?? What about our failing educational system and infrastructure?? Don’t you think we have our own damn problems that need fixing. Shit, we still have lead in our water systems across America! America has a problem with always starting shit just to play captain save a hoe! Ukrainian has my deepest sympathy, but we can’t help others until we help ourselves first. Our own damn country is falling apart right before our eyes, but our politicians more worried about someone else’s shit. It’s fucked up!

When you are capable of winning the fight (which the west so clearly is now looking at how Russia can't take Ukraine without massive logistical and tactical issue) is when you should show restraint and wisdom. There's definitely an argument to be made about the morality of letting a country take over another, but holy fuck are we really gonna start a fucking world war over it? How is that a better outcome? The only people profiting from this would be as Aba & preach said, the defense contractors. with all the lobbying in Amercia, I always find it hard not to imagine a bunch of reptilian bazillionnaires pushing for US to go to war so that THEY make insane amounts of money. It's like, how am I supposed to believe that an average person wants to start a fucking WORLD WAR, when they are so comfortable relatively to an actual all out war. As heartbreaking or even immoral it might be, I don't care enough about Ukraine to make NATO, the military might of the whole West, step in, so that Russia turns to China and then literally risk human annihilation. Here's the thing, right now Russia is using low "damage" military as it want Ukraine in a fixable state. It's counting on other country staying out of it. If we do go and join, this become a full own next level war and all guns are out at this point and now nuclear is a thing and since Russia will have nothing to lose since they know they couldn't go full blown war against NATO then you know that they could press the button and it's done for millions of people in a second ... I've also experienced war and I agree with Aba & Preach and stay the hell out of it. We can help them with weapons and supply but we can't fight the war for them.

Thats fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would prefer north american countries focused on themselves instead of involving ourselves in international conflicts. The same way we dont know everything about your situation, you dont know ours. When newsmedia is pushing for us to go to war, not only will we touch this but we will vehemently be anti-war because it involves us. If you dont like that, that is fine but dont say "dont touch this" when its my friends who are being pushed to go overseas.

As someone, who has been born in Kazakhstan a half russian, half german, moving to Germany, when I was 9 and learning russian, german and US history, while living 6 years of my life in the soviet union. Here is my advice. Don't stick you nose into something you do not understand. Not directed at you Aba & Preach, but at all the people talking about this topic, as if they have a digree in politics or history. I've experienced both sides, and the only thing I can say is please don't fuel the madness. Support the people in this war, regardless of them belonging to a "side", don't stick your nose into this, it is above your head. And you might be asking for more, than you can chew. So to all in the "west", check your sources, support the people and don't fall into tribalism.
