hey guys esthetician here! there’s definitely some misconceptions about filler out there. so filler is made of hyaluronic acid which is naturally occurring in the body, so it’s metabolized over time which it why you have to get it touched up. it’s not cancerous or dangerous, it just goes away faster depending on if you work out more, drink more water, etc. (lifestyle habits)
you also don’t have to do it that often! most people get it done once a year or so and if you get it done too often that’s when you’ll see that balloon effect happen to peoples lips. every area requires different lengths of time for touchups but most are once or twice a year! also how they’re administered greatly affects how natural or how good they look
