Alcohol - Wasted Adventure
If a Sim in your household becomes wasted there is a chance they will wander off on a drunken off-screen adventure.
The adventure has several outcomes with twists and turns and a bunch of corresponding buffs to go for the morning after.
Alcohol - Reactions
Sims will now only react to drunk non-teen Sims between 8AM and 7PM.
Drug Sales
To make drug dealing more profitable I have increased the price with 25% when selling drugs through social interactions with other Sims.
Cannabis Edibles
You can now purchase edible Gummy Bears from Dispensaries.
The gummy bears comes in 2 different bags with 2 different potencies. The effect of the gummies will vary depending on the tolerance of the user. If an in-experienced user ingests the most potent gummybear they will most certainly have a bad time. Inversely, if a Sim with a high tolerance to cannabis ingest a low potency gummybear they won't notice all that much.
You can either eat the gummybears straight from the bag, or take one out into your Sims inventory and consume that. If you have a single (or more) gummybear(s) taken out of the bag and in your Sims inventory you can share the gummy by clicking on another Sim your Sim is friendly with, go to Drugs > Share Drugs and select the edible in question.
Venue List
To make sure this mod works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List. I also recommend updating it whenever there is a new mod version out as I constantly add in new custom venue compatibility from other mod authors.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.*
Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.
Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.
Choose which Optional Packages you want included.
Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Drugs folder.
Basemental Drugs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
Download the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Unzip the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.
Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.
Delete your localthumbcache.package

The in-development version of the mod(s) are available on Patreon and once all bugs are squashed and features ready it is released for free to the public as it always has been. If you are experiencing any issues with the mod please head over to the support channel on the discord server. Most of the time issues seems to be user error, and when it’s not I always try to patch and fix it as soon as I can. The link to the support channel is in the bottom of the post

I cleared all mods saves and tray then load a new game tested with this mod and noticed destination worlds had an explanation mark stating unable to use destination worlds i.e. granite etc as no rentals available (even though they were all there empty!

For example, my sim smoked some high quality Purple Haze and got the munchies, so I had him eat a custom harvestable (Icemunmun's papaya). Then he immediately got hilarious and died lol

This is constant for every release of the mod and what it means is that the content of the supposed MDMA pills is switched up. If the Pink Rolex pills contained a high amount of MDMA last release, this release they may contain nothing but amphetamines. The way to test this is by purchasing a Stay-Safe test kit from the convenience store and do some home-testing.

2024-06-16 21:17:41 +0000 UTCalso something to recommend is Opioids which would cause the Dazed effect and if taken 2 or 3 times over would cause extreme hallucinations something to add aswell is different addictive levels for drugs considering their real life counter parts Cocaine Ketamine and Amphetamines be the more addictive drugs while pills like Xanax and Adderall be slightly addictive but over time become more and more addicted until you couldn't stop taking it, with Molly i couldn't say i haven't researched that enough, just my thoughts and i know you are alot more experienced with how certain drugs affect the brain but i just thought it would be cool to see these ideas into action and add some realism to this already insanely realistic mod thanks!
