💎 Milestones
There are now 30 new Basemental Milestones you can acquire for your Sims, ranging from "Got Drunk" to "Beat Cancer" and everything in between.
Milestones Settings
If your Sim used to smoke cannabis in their teens (prior to the Milestones patch came out), but is all grown up now you can retroactively add that particular milestone in the Basemental Drugs Settings menu.
Just click on any Sim, then Drugs > Settings > Milestones.
From here you choose whether or not you want to add or remove a milestone from your Sim.
If you choose to add a milestone you will get a second option afterwards where you decide which life-stage to add the milestone to, Teen or Adult.
The UI seems to bunch everything from Young Adult to Elder into one category, so if you want to retroactively add something they used to do while being a young adult but they are now an elder, use the Adult category.
It is as simple as that. I'd of course encourage you to play the game and acquire whichever Milestones you want by actively playing, but who am I to dictate your playing style?

Venue List
To make sure this mod works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List. I also recommend updating it whenever there is a new mod version out as I constantly add in new custom venue compatibility from other mod authors.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.*
- Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Choose which Optional Packages you want included.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Drugs folder.
Basemental Drugs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
- Download the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Unzip the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.
- Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package

I can download the PATREON zip file, and the venue list package. But everytime i try to download the basemental drugs it says virus detected and does allow me to download.

2023-06-13 21:56:06 +0000 UTCThis mod works perfect as well as gangs. I would suggest everyone that keeps having issues to 50/50 your cc. There is a confliction, you will have to figure it out. Creator's don't use mods like we do, so if you don't post your exception in discord, they cannot help you. Also make sure you don't have more than 200 scripts running or you will have issues.

2023-05-21 21:23:15 +0000 UTCHey! Yes, you can share a blunt with someone. I believe you have to be at least “friend” level with the sim. Group them together, then have them relax on a sofa or bed. Click on the sim you want to share the blunt. Under the drugs tab you should see “e.g share blunt”.

The best way to make sure I see and can backtrack on suggestions is to use that instead of the comment sections underneath Patreon posts. Overdoses and rehab has been staples of the mod for a long time, btw.

I have all the files in the correct paths, and I am able to see all the features/commands, but when I try to command my sim to complete a task, they freeze and i'm getting an exception. It's telling me "invalid tuning mod" ive made sure my other mods are up to date, and I've uninstalled and deleted old files before reinstalling and restarting the game.

Or make it a sofa specific interaction where they have to be seated on the same sofa to puff&pass. And they can laugh/talk or mood buff like "Deep Conversation Focused +3 - Was that philosophically-world-view-altering-deep? Or am I just high?"

2023-04-24 15:15:11 +0000 UTCHey. You shouldn't have to select characters each time you update the mod as long as you don't overwrite your save without the mod in first. That is: If you delete the mod, open the game without the mod in and overwrite your save prior to updating the mod you will lose all your mod progress. What you rather need to do is delete the old version, don't open the game at all, update to the latest version, reopen the game. That will keep all your progress and settings.
