Patch day is upon us once again!

The pre-patch to the werewolf pack will be released today (June 14th).

There is a really high probability that this pack will break a bunch of mod in unpredictable ways – including of course the Basemental Mods.

Whenever a new patch comes out you as a player have a responsibility in taking as many precautions as you can to avoid your game bugging out or your saves being irreparably damaged.

Some of you have been around for ages and know the drill when it comes to patches and what to do, some of you are brand new to it. For the newcomers, here’s a list on how to stay on the safe side. For the veterans, look at it as a refresher course made with the best intent.

To keep it short and to the point, you basically only have two good options. Which of these you choose is entirely up to your preference.

Option 1) If you are playing through the Origin client, click the Go Offline button so the game doesn’t automatically update. Then you wait for your favorite Mod authors to let you know if either their mods are still safe to use or if they need updating. If they need updating then you update, if it’s safe then you can keep playing with it.

Option 2) You take all your Mods and CC out of your Mods folder, place them in a temporary folder and start up a new save game without Mods, so you don’t override your Mod saves. Then you do the same waiting for Mods to be repaired game as described in Option 1.

Now… there’s no telling how a game patch will or will not break mods or not, but considering this is a huge pack implementing a bunch of new stuff it would be naive to assume this patch won’t break stuff.

Personally I will be working my butt off to get the mods up and running again as quickly as possible. First the Patreon versions of the mods, then the public ones.
