April Fools is.. or rather was upon us. Depending a bit on where you are located. At least it is over for now where I am at.

I am sorry, but I couldn’t help myself... Considering I have a reputation for inadvertently destroying doors whenever there’s a new extensive game patch out I thought it would be fun to add an annoying NPC called Base Mental that walks around stealing doors, one by one.

Most of you have already figured this out, but to fix the issue you have to delete the additional package file included in the installation called Reactions Simulation Lag Fix.package – That’s all there is to it.

The next time you reboot your game the NPC will be deleted from your game as if he never existed. But the doors he stole will forever be his. He collects them, apparently…

If you happen to have “messed up” by playing in San Myshuno and that joker stole your apartment doors, and you also managed to overwrite your save you still have a couple of options to fix it. The first one would be to roll back your save to a previous version of it. Just go to the Load/Save screen and click the Recover Save button.

Your second option would be to download TOOL by TwistedMexi which will allow you to place doors on your apartment buildings.

If you were one of those unlucky apartment owning ones this happened to, I do apologize. At least a little bit. It is still fixable as mentioned, and I still find it funny. But I am also sorry… A little bit.

Last but not least. I have updated the mods on the website and Patreon now so the prank package is excluded from the downloads. You can of course download those and reinstall, but it is not really necessary. All you have to do is delete that additional package and reboot the game.
