The result of the poll was crystal clear, thus I added a Cancer Immunity reward trait. I also added cheats to remove the cancer, as well as add cancer (for story telling purposes), and settings to completely toggle the feature off. There's also a bunch of other tweaks and nifty little things to this update, a new lot trait among other things.

Cancer Immunity Trait

Click on the reward store, purchase the trait from there. The trait costs 8000 Satisfaction Points. After the trait is purchased your Sim will be immune to getting lung cancer.

The trait needs to be purchased and added to the Sim prior to getting cancer.

Remove Cancer Cheat

Your Sim has cancer, chemo doesn't take, and you want to cheat it off. First of all, make sure your cancer ridden Sim is active and selected, then open the cheat console and type in: bm_remove_cancer

Note: Your Sims cancer needs to be diagnosed for this to work, and if you tried purchasing the Cancer Immunity Trait after the cancer was added you need to repurchase the trait.

Add Cancer Cheat

If you for some reason want to add cancer to a Sim in your game, say for storytelling purposes, make sure the Sim in question is active and selected, then open the cheat console and type in: bm_cancer

Disable/Enable Cancer

Some of you want this. I do not agree with it, but here it is anyways.

To pretend cancer is not a real disease one might get from smoking, go to the Assign Smokers tab in the Basemental Settings and disable it from there.

No Smoking Inside

To make sure Sims stop smoking inside, go to the Lot Trait's tab at the lot you want to stay smoke free, and select the "No Smoking Inside" lot trait.

After the lot trait is added you'll notice that the "Have a Cigarette" or "Have a Cigar" interactions will be greyed out when inside. You need to manually head outside to smoke up.

This also applies for autonomous NPC smoking.

Sims not Dying from Cancer

There was a glitch happening where sims did not die after the Stage 3 diagnosed cancer buff ran out if they were not on the lot when it ran out. That is fixed now.

If your Sim comes back from work for instance and the buff is gone, the next time you travel with your Sim or you reload up your household he or she will die.

Emergency Doctors Appointment

If your Sim has gone to the doctor to get a checkup recently, they can now get an emergency checkup. This is way pricier (§ 2,000) and only shows up on your Sims phone when the regular checkup is on it's cool down period.
