Alright! Finally I got the basics down of this new feature. I have been working as hard as I could during the Easter Holiday, and at last I overcame the last obstacles. This is still quite basic I think, and I will definitely fine tune this further, but for now it works. I hope you guys can report on what you think needs to be improved upon with this.
How it works
The Bouncer
First things first. The bouncer is a lot trait. Meaning you need to go to build mode to the venue (bar, or nightclub) you want to add the Bouncer to and choose the Bouncer Lot Trait from the list of Lot Traits.
Once the bouncer is added, he will eventually show up after you enter the venue. If you are playing as an adult, he won't do all that much, until your Sim becomes wasted. Then he might walk over to your Sim and ask him/her to leave the premises. If your Sim has the hotheaded, mean or evil trait your Sim might pick a fight with the bouncer before leaving.
If you are playing as a Teen, the bouncer might walk over to your Teen and ask to see an ID if he catches the Teen drinking at the venue. If your Teen doesn't have a fake ID he/she will promptly leave the venue. If your Teen has a fake ID in the inventory however, the bouncer will get tricked by this and won't bother your Teen Sim anymore (until he or she gets wasted, then he might ask them to leave anyhow).
To get a hold of a fake ID. Get in touch with your local neighbourhood scumbag of a Drug Dealer. Apparently he has started peddling stuff like that as well. A Fake ID costs 1550 Simoleons.
Glitches Fixed
First of all, the Shaman will (most likely) not do autonomous swimming in the pools anymore. I have not been able to test this out thoroughly yet, but from a quick stress-test it seemed to be working. If you experience that he still does, please let me know. I also need to mention that Turbodriver now has sorted things out on his end with the latest version of WickedWhims, making the Shaman stop asking for sex with everyone.
There has been a bunch of requests for a global on/off switch for autonomous drug use. I have not implemented this in this version, but I have opened the picker option up for all the Sims in the world, so you can rather choose for yourself who should and who shouldn't do drugs autonomously. I also did the same thing for the picker option for choosing the High Level Client (for the higher Cocaine Dealing Skill levels). Children has also been removed from these 2 Setting options.
The addiction chance on alcohol has now been tuned up quite a bit. You still need to get your Sim drunk for it to be able to kick in, though. Tipsy won't cut it. I also made it harder for your Sims to get drunk, wasted and messed up, meaning your Sim needs to drink more.. sometimes.
To avoid selling to family members in the same household and just getting the drugs back as well as generating money in an infinite loop, family members have now been blacklisted as potential customers. You can still share drugs with them, though.
Some people reported an issue where bouncers showed up on other lots than the lot they placed the Bouncer Lot Trait on. That should be sorted this time around. Hard for me to actually test this out as I have not made it happen in my own game, no matter how hard I have tried, so please let me know if it still happens.
Installation Instructions
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
- Download Basemental Drugs v1.2.5.02
- Unzip Basemental Drugs v1.2.5.02
- Place the unzipped files in your Mods folder.
- Remember to delete your localthumbcache.package
- If you experience issues with Buying or Selling - place both of the files directly in your Mods folder.
- Any other issues, get in touch at my Discord Server

I recommend trying to first delete your localthumbcache.package found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 - if that doesn't do the trick, try to place all your mods and CC except BMD in a temporary folder and start up a new save with just BMD in to see if the problem still persists. That way you can figure out if it is another broken or outdated mod that is causing the issue or if it's due to something wrong with BMD. If it still persists then, let me know

This trait would make the sim want to do the drug and so on, and even if the sim if clean since a very long time, the urge still pops up once in awhile. It would make the whole addiction part of it more realistic. Not sure if this i possible but yeah, just a thought i had

Maybe buying beer or stuff like that either in buy mood or via the computer. It would made the whole alcoholic part of it all more realistic, i don't know much about modding, but ive been thinking about this for a while and i just thought i would pitch the idea to you. Other than that i LOVE this mod so much and thank you for all your work on it!!

2018-04-05 07:50:35 +0000 UTCI recently downloaded this version (and I'm also new to the mod) and I managed to reach a high level on the cocaine skill, but still can't manage to sell bricks to my VIPs even though I selected them through the basemental menu, I invited them to my house with bricks of both quality and the options never showed up. Is it only me? If so, how can I fix this? Also, can you choose the VIP clients again or are they permanent?

Like, if you get one from a dealer, it'll be good quality and the bouncer will fall for it, but if your sim makes one to sell, the quality varies, and a bad quality one will be more likely to be detected as fake. IDK if that's possible, but it would be an interesting mechanic.
