Whats new?

Just wanted to give you guys a rundown on what is new with the mod, progress and all that jazz.

First of all, thanks a bunch to Maid Molly who informed me that Necrodog had started making a cigarette Mod with smoke FX added to the animation. I got in touch with him last night and we will be collaborating on finishing the mod. I will, among other things, implement something along the lines of the same addiction system that I have in place for Basemental Drugs and he will help me out with adding smoke FX for the Weed part of Basemental Drugs as well. So that is freaking exciting! The cigarette Mod will, in other words not be a part of Basemental Drugs, but it will be a separate entity entirely. Either way, it is going to be sweet.

Secondly, I have had some major computer problems lately, on top of being in the most hectic time period ever at my day job, which has prevented me from doing as much modding as I would have liked to. But(!) I just picked up a new computer last night, so as of right now I am installing TS4, transferring all files and applications to work on the Mod and sorting it out so I can properly get back in business so to speak.

I am really looking forward to start working on it again, and this time around on a computer that isn't fighting against me all along the way.

And lastly, I just want to thank all of you awesome, incredible guys and gals for the support you have been (and still are) showing me. If it wasn't for you I would have stopped improving and working on this Mod quite some time ago. For sure. So, cheers and hats off to you. Yes, you... in particular! :)

Remove the trait from your main sim you do not manually have to apply it. You can give the sim any traits you want... You want to make a townie have the drug dealer trait. I did this by creating a new family giving them the trait and moving them next door..... then you want your main sims to become friends with the townie drug dealer (you can use MCCC relationships to make them friends quickly) and then the option pops up to ask them permission to sell drugs ... you have to ask permission for each type of drug you want to sell ... it adds the traits then you can sell drugs .. it’s cheaper to continue buying your drugs from the townie drug dealer when you run low... the more sims you sell to the more often you get the calls to sell drugs ... you have to befriend the sim before you sell or they may reject you if you get your charisma up and also purchase the super friendly achievement award you will be able to sell immediately after greeting with no rejection (I purchase the achievement with MCCC points)

I'm happy to help. I check in on all the creators I support at least 1-2 times a day, so if I happen to see a question I can answer, I'm happy to do so. And Katelyn, to answer your question: You have to have a high enough relationship with the person or else they may get upset. At least do a few good interactions with them and get some green on the friendship bar.

Also. I've noticed with the sell weed, some people will buy and some people get offended. Is there a better way to tell what sims to sell to? Like relationship level?

Thanks a bunch Maid Molly. I have not been able to be as much online as I have wanted lately, for that I apologize. Either way, I am super grateful that you have answered so many questions. Luckily things have calmed down a lot at work now, so I will be checking this page much more frequently to answer questions and all that jazz.

No idea why that happens. WickedWhims and Basemental Drugs work in conjunction with one another, and should not be causing any crashes when you have both installed. Could it be some other outdated mods or CC that you are running, perhaps?

Make sure you are putting the files into your mod folder "loose" - meaning don't put them in a subfolder within the Mod folder. I made that mistake and the mod didn't work. There's been a lot of changes too, and some of the info on LoversLab is old and outdated (there are no drug parties anymore, for instance.) To share coke, make sure you are putting the line down somewhere. A table, counter, etc. Then click on the line of coke and you should see a "share with" option.

You have to know another drug dealer and ask them about becoming one. Anyone can sell weed. But harder drugs require you to basically get a "supplier". The trait isn't for your sim. The trait is used if you want to make an NPC drug dealer. Also, some townies will generate randomly with the drug dealer trait.

Same here having that problem...I also cant even share my Coke!

How do you become the drug dealer? I have the trait on my main sims and I have been selling weed but I don't get calls or requests for it.

Do you have script mod turned on in your game?

Do your sim have programming skill at 3?

i have tried everything and the mod is still not working what to do?

Can't wait to see what else you come up with. I love all that you have done so far.

Hello, first of all, love your mod. It is awesome and brings a bit of reality into the game. However, I downloaded wicked whims and for some reason, the game crashes a lot after about fifteen minutes of play time. I would absolutely love to keep both mods, and if there is anyway to fix this, I would love to try. But if I have to chose one, I'm not sure I'll be able to. :( Hope to hear back from you! Hi, I have to say thank you because of this awesome mod. I love it. But I have a little problem with the drug dealer event: Basically, I can't throw it. xD The option is not available on my phone. :( I only use MC Command Center, UI Cheats Extension and Become Soccerer mods. Is that a know issue for you? Thank you in advance. :3

You can buy a bag of weed from a drug dealer. (A sim with a drug dealer trait). I usually make one and move them in next door :)

Thank you basemental I just got a question for u is it possible to make it where when they first use drugs an weed it shows they did it but the second use it buff to show the need to get high every so often then after that the addiction kick in an they have to get high or they get sad or some kind of emotion till they get high but over dose buff I think it would be nice if it hit a few different stages with warnings first stage say like be careful second stage to much slow it down then last stage over dose like die or something from over doing it. then if possible give them the option to go to rehab walk out side an disappear to rehab then they clean again something like that but I love what you have to thank you for the great mod I enjoy playing with it.

Chisami is making glass pipes and bongs and there are some good recolors of them by RaD not sure if you can incorporate them into your mod,just thought I would let you know about them,they look good.Thank you again for this fun mod.
