Progress Update
Added 2017-09-05 09:58:45 +0000 UTCJust wanted to give all of you a little status report on how the upcoming version is coming along.
For this version I am focusing primarily on getting Weed addiction and different effects the more you smoke into place. Work-wise it is an extensive and time-consuming task, due to the different ways to smoke (blunt, joint and bong) and the fact that there are three different strains of weed.
What I have been doing this past week is trying to establish a good ground-up foundation for it so it won't be a major hassle for me to add more ways to smoke or more strains in future updates, and I am pleased to say that all of this is more or less in place now.
Ideally I would love to have this new version out by today or tomorrow, but realistically I can see that this is not possible, as there is still a lot of stuff that needs to be implemented here, for instance quite a few new icons for the different occasional and static buffs.
Anyway... it is coming together slowly but surely, and I am still optimistic that I will have it out by the end of this week, but I would rather it be as close to perfect as possible than to rush it.

My sim is addicted to cocaine and I have lines available in their inventory but I never see them autonomously snort the coke unless the lines are placed on the table. They will get to the point where they are coming down hard or craving cocaine but still never auto take it from the sink or anything. Would it be possible to have the auto drug use focus on the specific drug you are addicted to?

Glad you like the mod :) The whole tolerance bit is something I have wanted to implement for a long time now, but it is tricky to get it done correctly without drowning in a jungle of invisible buffs working in the background. Not saying I have ditched the idea entirely but seeing as how time consuming it is to just work on the addiction, OD part of a drug, the tolerance part would probably be a proper pain in the ass to work with. As for the work performance stuff, I would argue that it already does considering the wear off and comedown phase messes up your Sims mood and needs, which in turn does not equate to great work performance. I won't add the option to get you fired for it though, as I am trying to stay clear off changing the already made EA tuning, and that would interfere with other career Mods that might do the same thing.

2017-09-11 21:37:07 +0000 UTCAwesome mod!!! Just some ideas: What about once you are addicted then over time it takes more and more of the drug to get the same effect. Would also be cool if the drug wears off while at work it could lower your performance possibly getting you fired.

2017-09-10 11:39:28 +0000 UTCI don't think I am going to implement a turn on/off functionality for that. It is however very easy to avoid overdosing. If you only do two lines or pills and wait until the comedown kicks in and do two more you will always stay clear of overdoses, both fatal and non-fatal.

2017-09-08 07:39:09 +0000 UTCCan there be an option if you don't want your sim to be addicted anymore they can call the phone and call a rehab? Even go to meetings call a sponsor etc I love the realism of addiction but I think a recovery option would be dope. Either way I still love this mod.

I actually had someone come over to buy drugs and before I could even sell to them I got another phone call from the same person lol. I like that random ppl call and come over to buy drugs but it feels like too many at once and the constant phone ringing is @_@
