Some new fixes for v1.07 - I will still call this a beta as I have not added the addiction part of MDMA yet, but I have finetuned the addiction for speed and coke, as well as added a few other nifty little things.

Installation Instructions

Remove all the old Basemental Drugs files, scripts and folders and everything and install this new one. If there are any issues with the following: Snorting from Sinks, Buy Drugs, Sell Drugs, Buy Drugs Online - Place the file titled basementaldrugs.ts4script directly into your Mods folder (no subfolders). The rest can safely stay in the folder within your Mods folder titled Basemental Drugs.

A quick rundown of the latest feature, the "ask to exchange sex for cocaine/speed when addicted" part. I have started working with Turbodriver (the creator of WickedWhims) to make the two mods work in conjunction to one another. He will update his version of WW soon so that when you ask to exchange sex for cocaine or speed the dealer will always accept the proposition. But for now, you need to turn on Always Accept in the Wicked Whims settings.

The Pie Menu titled "Desperation" will only appear when clicking on the dealer when your selected Sim is addicted to a drug. You then have to click on "Ask to exchange sex for Coke or Speed (depending on your addiction)" and proceed to have sex with the dealer. After the act is over, you click on the dealer one more time, go into the Desperation pie menu and choose "Get Cocaine or Speed (depending on your addiction) as Payment for Sex". The Dealer will then give you a high quality ziplock bag.

Other than that I have sorted out a few glitches that you guys reported and adjusted some tuning from your suggestions. It is still beta-mode this whole addiction/OD part of the mod, so keep the feedback and suggestions coming :)

You can bring a drug dealer to a location (park or your own residence) by planning a social event via your phone. From there, you can select the buyer and the dealer. A dealer will appear at the chosen location where you can buy drugs from either the expensive or cheap menus when you click on them.

Hey! I answered this in the PM you sent me, but I might as well answer it here as well, in case anyone else is wondering. It is not unlikely that all of these things will be implemented down the line. Your suggestions have been on my "check out if this is feasible" list for quite some time now. I will first of all finish up on what I have started with addiction/OD and tweaking of the Buy Drugs feature though.

Do you think you will add the ability to make and mix drugs like on the stove or chemical analyzer? In addition have grow farms and trap house where it could get raided by police from GTW.

Hi KC. I doubt it is due to an interfering Mod. The way the OD system works is based on a percentage chance. After the 3rd consecutive line snorted and every line after that until the comedown kicks in there is a small percentage chance of a non-fatal OD and an even smaller chance of a fatal OD. If your Sim does 2 lines and wait until the comedown to snort the next one, there is no risk of overdosing at all. When he almost immediately OD'ed the first time, it was a matter of chance due to it being based on percentage. Look at it as a dice-roll. Statistically speaking it is unlikely to happen, but by chance it might happen nonetheless.

Hey. This is a limitation, not a bug. If I can find a way to trade the item to the NPCs inventory I will fix this. If you know of any interactions that involves trading an item from one Sim to another, let me know so I can check out the tuning for it.

Hey! I did a new family to experienment with the new addiction with one of my teens and he almost immieitly od, fine and cool. Loaded up an earlier save and continued playing careful to keep him addicted but not to OD. Then he was caught cheating and I thought it would be carma to have him OD and had him do a bunch of coke and speed (spent 15min irl having him snort from sinks and counters) but he only ever got the od moodlet and woud passout then wake up, not instant death like I experienced the first time. I have other older and younger family members in the house and the drugs were bought over the computer and I beleive were average and high quality large parcels. Is there a process that makes it more likely for a sim to OD and die? It could be a mod interfearing, I do have a lot of them ;)

Not sure if it is a bug or a limitation - I sold a bag of Purple Haze to another NPC under my control (same household) and I was expecting to find the bag in its inventory but it was gone after the sale.

Hey. You click on Plan Social Event on the phone and choose Buy Drugs to start the buy drugs event. For the next upcoming version you will rather assign the NPC drug dealer through a trait.

That is right. It is coming though, I am working on a way to cut high quality coke or speed with baby laxatives to make larger quantities of average or poor quality to turn a profit.

I will definitely add the other way around interaction (dealer asking buyer for sex in exchange for drugs), just gotta figure out how to go about it. Thanks for the suggestion regarding fitness. So far I am thinking to run tests for fitness, if the dealer has a significant other and gender preference. I know Turbodriver is going to implement an attraction system a bit down the road which will make the whole test for looks thing work a whole lot better.

I think it should be dependent on other factors. For example of the sim asking for sex is in shape perhaps then the dealer would be more likely to accept and if there is an option (which i hope there is) for the dealer to ask for sex in exchange for drugs that the more addicted the buyer is the more likely they are to say yes. This would be more real to me.

Hey. Currently there aren't any way for it to be declined, but I could easily sort that out. I like the idea, but not 100% sure if I want it to be random or dependant on other factors.

With the WickedWhims update, will there be no way for the "ask to exchange sex for drugs" interaction to be declined? I'd prefer it be randomly successful or unsuccessful, I personally can't imagine using it if it always worked. In love with the idea though! I'm about to release a beta version of a Prostitution mod myself, and these two together will be so fun!

Glad to hear that it appears bug free. Weird about the speed addiction not kicking in though. Did your Sim snort the lines off sinks or from the actual lines? And was it mainly one type of quality or both?

So i tested out all features for about 40 hours, yet i could not really find any bugs. Although my sim snored about 400 lines of speed and is still not addicted so i dont know if that is a thing. By the way, the exchange sex for drugs works flawlessly and just is an amazing addition to the mod!

The death scene currently uses the same animation as death by exhaustion, which works quite well for it I think. I don't want to burden the animators I started working with too much with more requests just yet as they have more than enough on their plate already :)

Hi Emma. Glad you like the mod! WW interacts in the way that is written in the description of this post. I have tested the newest version of WW now where Turbodriver has sorted it out so whenever your addicted Sim asks to exchange sex for his or her drug of choice the dealer will always accept the proposition to sex afterwards. He is also working on implementing higher chances of asking for sex or performing acts of exhibitionism while under the influence of some of the drugs.

No ETA on this as of yet as it is the hands of the animators that have promised to help me out with this and not me. I want to make the animations as good as possible, so I rather someone with proper animating skills doing this. All I can tell you is that it will all be implemented but I don't want to stress them about it as it is important to me that they are enjoying themselves making it, and not feel like it's a stressful deadline thing.

Maybe some dabs as well - Concentrate of thc - Usually a wax looking thing that gets you much higher then any bud could do with a very low amount!

Can I ask what version of Wicked Whims you are using? Ever since I loaded Basemental Drugs v1.07.3(beta) I've been getting error messages every time my sims try to have sex. I removed the drug mod and Wicked Whims worked fine again.

Fair point, I can definitely tune down the rewards even further. I am however contemplating on moving the buy drugs event (if doable) away from an event all together but rather put in a trait in game that you can assign to an npc Sim that will then become your designated Drug Dealer, so you have to invite him/her over or meet him/her to buy the drugs instead. In terms of the price, it is actually quite realistic, considering the actual real life prices for amphetamine.

Don't you think that the reward you get for e.g. a bag of speed (2400$), is way to much? i mean you get 25 little bags of speed out of it, which drops about 6 lines of speed each! Thats 25x6=~150 lines of speed, where each line lasts for 10 hours? Is there a way to edit this number in one of the xmls? Because 2400$ (or i think its that amount for a high quality bag of speed), is way too few money for 150x10 hours (1500hours) of beeing on drugs haha! So, is there a way to change this?

It will definitely come, like I have mentioned countless times before. But, I want the drugs to all work as flawless as possible before getting back to working on the drug dealer career and the expansive part of selling drugs as I do have a lot of ideas regarding this, but it will make me go back and forth a shitload of times if I don't get the drugs and the basics in place first and foremost.

Definitely some more to come on both ends of the mods here. I know Turbo is implementing a way for Sims to be more likely to be asking for sex or do acts of exhibitionism while under the influence of certain drugs, now. Among other things :)
