How Would You Prefer to Buy the Drugs?

Personally I want both. I want my sims to be able to buy from a dealer, but I want my dealer sims to have the ability to purchase them from buy mode. Buying quantity from the dark net sounds cool af too.

I think this is the most solid argument for adding it back to Buy Mode as well. I will definitely put them back in buy mode as an option solely due to this. Nice to see the result of the poll nonetheless, though :)

I picked more realism as that's what I want in my game, but I do think there's a place for having them in BB. Sometimes I just want to set up a scenario or have something on a lot that isn't directly tied to my sim taking actions and it's annoying having to jump in as a player and have to go buy some drugs and then stash them on a lot just so there can be some pills in the back room of a club, or something like that.

Haha. I'll see what I can do about that. On a different but related note; have you experienced issues with dealing with a lot of harvestables and items above 99+ ? I read somewhere that some games crash and freezes when dealing with huge stacks over 99+, but it was an old post/article/whatnot. Might be that EA and Maxis has fixed the glitch.

I might do 2 different versions of the mod for the next release, one without the Buy Mode option for people who just want pure realism, and one with the option to buy it from Buy Mode (I will of course keep the Drug Dealer in that version as well). That is at least what I am thinking so far, I might go back to how it is right now again when I have perfected and improved the Buy Drugs events. We'll see. One step at a time and all that

Hm, why not both? I usually prefer realism but sometimes, especially when I am Building a new venue, I'd love to have Access to all objects. I would like to have the possibility to decorate my Club with drugs.

Cant you just do both? I mean is there a conflict with keeping the directly buyable drugs in the game? You could just include them as an off handed download. Just the drugs. I don't know anything about modding so I am not sure how time consuming that would be for you.

My problem is I like both options I like the buy mode because I can buy without risk and I can buy in large amounts but I also like the dealer for the risk factor although that could use some fine tuning as well like the risk of cops and narks who turn you over to the cops or the risk of getting rolled for your drugs
