Basemental Drugs v1.05
Added 2017-06-06 21:01:13 +0000 UTCAt last, the plants all work. I have been stress-testing them extensively over the course of the last few days while adding tweaks and touches to things that needed fixing. Hopefully all should be working flawlessly now though.

To start cultivating your own weed:
1. Find the Cannabis Seed pack under Buy Menu > Decorative > Indoor plants. Plant them as regular plants. The buds can be harvested, but not be used in food recipes. They can be cured (to be made smokeable), used as fertilizer, or replanted to make more plants.
2. Buy Empty Weed Jar from buy menu.
3. Fill the Empty Weed Jars with 10 harvested buds of one strain.
4. Wait for a couple of days until a buff shows up that tells you that now is the time to fetch your cured buds.
5. Open the Weed Jar with the cured buds, voila!
The buffs gained from smoking the different strains are a bit more advanced than my previous buffs, and they also give you additional random buffs while your Sim is high, like uncontrollable giggles, mild hallucinations, and so on.
Installation:
Remove Basemental Drugs from your Mods folder, download this zip and extract the new Basemental Drugs folder into your Mods folder. To make sure the Buy Drugs event work properly, put the basementalbuydrugsevent.ts4script file directly into your Mods folder, not in any subfolders.
I guess that is it. Nothing left to say than, I really hope you enjoy this, I have worked my ass off to get this to work properly and I feel like I am off to a very good start with this weed part of the mod, but, please(!) let me know if you come across any glitches, bugs, or stuff that you feel are not working properly, or could be improved upon. I have tried stress-testing it like crazy, but I am only one person. With your help I can make this mod truly great.

2017-09-13 18:20:04 +0000 UTCThe cure time should be the same, so if you cured all the buds at the same time it should definitely be ready at the same time. Did you carry it in your inventory or have it placed in the world while curing it, by the way? Doubt that it should matter, but I have always placed it on shelves to keep an eye on it and it works every time. If it is a case of it not working properly when it is in inventory I will look into it.

2017-06-17 16:33:12 +0000 UTCDo the different strains have different cure times? The purple haze was cured, didn't get a buff, but when I clicked on the jar is gave me the "open" option. When I click on the other two strains in the jars the only option I get is to "put in inventory", the jars.

I thought it may be one of my other mods conflicting, but even with this mod being the only one in the folder, the interactions with the dealer don't show up. I read the note saying to put the one file directly in the mods folder, not sub folders, but it still doesn't work. i tried putting all files in without sub folders, and the interactions still don't show up. I am able to buy the store items, and can grow and cultivate the weed plants. i can also call and arrange meeting with the drug dealer, but interactions do not show up . I'm really disappointed, this would have been the holy grail of mods, in my opinion. Also disappointed that i paid for it not to work. xD
2017-06-10 19:11:47 +0000 UTCIronic that marihuana is the first drug I made that actually killed someone :o I will have a look at the tuning for the uncontrollable giggles. I think it is a matter of the playful buff that starts to stack that can make the Sims enter a state of Hysteria. Will definitely sort it out, though. But in the meantime try to take it easy around the Uncontrollable Giggles buff :)

2017-06-08 21:34:35 +0000 UTCHey, it should only take 1.5-2 days approximately. You do need to pay attention to the buffs the Sims that have planted it get though, as they will get a buff that lasts for 2 days that says "now is the time to fetch the buds if you are curing _insert-strain-here_" After that buff is over you can't open the jars anymore. I would definitely advice you to place the Jars on a shelf or something and not have them in the inventory, although it should work curing from inventory as well.

2017-06-08 06:22:16 +0000 UTCYou need 10 similar buds to start curing. It should say "Items required 10x AK-47 buds" So if you have 2 AK-47 buds in your inventory it will be gray and read "Items required 8x AK-47 buds"

2017-06-08 05:40:23 +0000 UTCTo answer your first question: you can, just like when you make drinks if you just for example put some lines on the table, there's a pretty big chance an npc will do them. It happened to me loads of times. To answer the drug-selling part: basemental has been working on a drug dealer mod (he mentioned this on LL) but he had to put it on hold to put all his attention into the weed part. So I'm guessing the his drug dealer mod is just a matter of time

With that I'm not only talking in terms of adding drugs but you said on LL you'd look at the vommiting on the hungover mod, adding addiction (will this come after all drugs have been imported or does this come earlier?), visible residue of drug use on the sim, ... I know you just finished this and I'm already talking other stuff. It's not to put any pressure as I'm not asking for a timeframe, it's just to know what we can expect.

2017-06-07 10:16:55 +0000 UTCHehe. The body is not really decaying at the time being, but(!) if you keep on smoking all the time your Sim will definitely have lower hunger, and if you want to keep those needs topped he/she is at least quite likely to put on some pounds.

2017-06-06 22:32:20 +0000 UTCOMG! :-D I have a really cool idea for later if this is something you want to add, but I think it would be really cool if after your sim keeps smoking they get a hidden addicted trait, with a uncomfortable need to smoke moodlet, kinda similar to Cmomoneys smoking mod. I think this will be cool because it will make more realistic. Also, I made my sim take 27 mollies and nuthing happen I think it will be cool if she died instead or a much less extreme passed out or something! but if nuthing I just said sounds kosher then thanks anyways your mod is AMAZING!!!!!
