Dress Code (Animation)

I didn't have much time to get a second animation out this month, so kept it short and sweet. I quite like how it turned out though, and it's nice to see what I'm able to put together in just one day :)

I think if I were a BB person I wouldn't care since there is infinity BB content on the internet and CB content is more rare haha. But sounds good ❤️

2023-09-16 20:20:20 +0000 UTCExactly, so imagine if you were a BB person, and knew you'd have to wait even longer for a new BB animation because I'd decided to focus on making up the CB content. Maybe you'd move elsewhere, or forget, or who knows what. At the moment, I try and aim to do roughly one animation of each type per month, which I appreciate is a while for some people, but at least the fee is also paid monthly, so in theory you're paying for one animation per month (more or less). I'm only one person, and I'm doing my best to keep up with my schedule whilst dealing with all the other random stuff life throws my way. This is how I'm choosing to do things now, for myself and for supporters from both sides of the community. If you can get me those 1 billion supporters (or ya know, an extra thousand would be cool), I'll get you those extra CB animations, promise ❤️

I am a CB person so I always leave after one is made since I know it won't be for a long while. Okay so you say it's uneven too. That's good so we agree. I don't see how it could become more uneven if it was pushed the other way lol. But glad you will update the tagline. Helps for optics and drive in making them too. But I will have to work on getting you 1 billion cb supporters then and maybe then you'll do more the other way since yours are really good. 📣

2023-09-16 20:05:48 +0000 UTCHonestly, I think if you were more familiar with being on this side of content creation, you'd see why I'm doing things this way. Your newest content is always the most important at any given moment. It's what encourages people to join and/or stick around, and keeps you in people's minds. Please don't forget that I have access to my analytics, and can see who joins/leaves when, and whether or not people come back. The simple fact of any form of subscription service, if you want to call it that, is that sometimes when people leave, they leave for good, because life. I'm not denying it's uneven. I just said it always will be uneven. But it's not going to get MORE uneven, because I've been balancing my output SINCE I started committing to CB. That's the last time I'm going over that. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree philosophically on that one. A billion supporters is worth more than a billion dollars in my view, but either way it wouldn't matter, because if I had either, I'd be able to quit my job, hire a team and kick this all into overdrive. I could make up the difference between BB and CB in a few weeks if I had that, rather than a few months (or perhaps almost a year, which again is part of why I'm not doing that). Sure, I'll update the tagline.

So your 1 to 1 is just as in the past as your exclusively BB ones were. Meaning that you're still stockpiling to an uneven degree. You admit it is uneven but say it's even now, but it can't be to newcomers who see the entire lot at one time as it all becomes the past. As to you knowing you would lose BB supporters, how would this be known? Would they simply resub when seeing the new BB vid? Probably. That's what CB people do. Restorative justice is the only way things can be fair. That is the only logical path. You're free to keep it uneven, just admit that it's uneven. If it were even, CB should be added to the Patreon subline at least. Also, would you switch to 2 to 1 if offered 1 billion dollars? Or 1 billion cb supporters?

2023-09-16 19:44:11 +0000 UTCI don't think you're understanding what I'm saying. I'm producing the content evenly NOW (I have been for months in fact). The reason it is uneven, and will always be uneven, is because when I started, I only did BB. So if I produce one BB and one CB animation per month, which is more or less what I've been doing most of this year, that's fair to everyone in my eyes. I can't change the fact that originally I made more BB content, and therefore have a larger BB library. And trust me, I know for a fact I'd lose BB supporters, keeping up with this content is a difficult balance and I lose supporters plenty. Thankfully I also gain supporters too, and making a fair amount of BB and CB content moving forwards is, to me, the fairest and most logical way to go forwards, now that I know I have an audience for both.

But it's okay if you want to keep it uneven ;) You'd not lose any BB supporters going 2 to 1, since we CB people have been dealing with it slanted the other direction. I prefer FvF CB also, like you have been doing. Just thought I'd ask. If you want to keep it uneven to the BB sway that's your decision, just was asking for more CB since you said your goal was keeping it even and that would even it out. Just wording disagreement haha

2023-09-16 19:22:00 +0000 UTCNot sure how else to say it. I'm gonna keep doing a reasonably even amount of both, as I've been doing for the past couple months, going forward. I just made BB originally, now I make BB and CB, and I just never updated the tagline, it's as simple as that. If I stopped doing BB now, not only would I not get the variety in my animations that I enjoy working on, I'd also lose BB supporters. I probably already get more support (at least on DA) on my CB content, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna just stop doing what I enjoy. I like doing both. And I know a lot of people here are just here for BB, as you are for CB (I assume). Also it's a big enough undertaking doing just one visual novel game solo, never mind two. And as I said, the one I'm working on is gonna involve CB too. It just so happens that the first chapter is all BB, because it just involves the male protagonist and his female friend. And as you probably do, I don't to MvF CB.

2023-09-16 19:01:49 +0000 UTCBecause of how long animations take, that'd mean I wouldn't be able to put out BB some months, which isn't ideal anyway but is extra tricky as the first chapter of my visual novel (which I'm focusing on finishing now) is BB lol don't worry, CB content is always coming, and chapter two of the visual novel is even gonna have a lil bit of it too

2023-09-16 18:56:01 +0000 UTCWhilst I always appreciate your support and passion for CB, I can't stop doing BB for that long 😅 it's very much a part of what I'm into, and what many of the people that enjoy my content are into. I started out just doing BB initially, hence the uneven weighting. But moving forward I've been trying to alternate between BB and CB content consistently.
