- The rulebook is now divided into two sections: Rules (up to page 37) and Appendices (the rest).
- [NEW] The Basics chapter has been rewritten.
- Removed the Ironcrunch Moves chapter, as this content is already present in the Ironcruch Moves Quick Reference, which replaces the original Ironsworn Moves Reference.
- Moved the "Foes' Weapons Tables" and "Using Bestiaries from OSR Games" sections of the Foes chapter to Appendix 11: Bestiary.
COMPONENTS
- [NEW] Added an optional third character sheet page for setups without cards.
- [NEW] The companion sheet has been redesigned.
- Rearranged the order of the ancestry cards: primals, elementals, and beastfolks.
- Added stock track for weapon cards with this aspect.
- [NEW] Double-sided printing for cards now supported.
- [NEW] Added versions of the card set with colored backs.
CHARACTER
- [NEW] The first section of the Character Creation chapter has been rewritten to clarify the process and indicate which mechanics are optional.
- Motivations are now optional as well. Now you choose 1 instead of 2.
- [NEW] Introduced Demeanors as an optional character customization element.
COMPANIONS
- [NEW] The Companion chapter has been rewritten to clarify the companion creation process.
- The Conditional Companion chapter has been slightly rewritten.
- The Advance move has been simplified according to companion changes.
FOES
- Removed the Ending the Fight section of the Playing Your Character chapter, since this process has been simplified and explained in the Foes chapter.
- [NEW] To facilitate the visual understanding of the bestiary entries and creature cards, the foes progress track might be composed by circles (1 harm=1 circle to fill) or box (1 harm=1 tick to mark).
- Clarified in the Foe chapter how the foes' track works.
- Tweaked the bestiary entry format to open space for more creature's moves.
- [NEW] Foes' aspects are now presented alongside the foe's moves in both the bestiary entries and the cards. Aspects are shown with a gray background to highlight them in the table, since they might come into place during the player's initiative. This will allow us to add more aspects since now there won't be the need to list them in the foe's chapter, though I'm compiling them to list them in the bestiary appendix for the creature generator.
- Removed Intimidate and Protect as foes' drives.
- [NEW] Added monologue descriptors to each of the 8 foes' intents.
- [NEW] Added the following creatures to the Appendix 11: Bestiary. Aboleth; Achaierai; Afanc; Air Servant; Allip; Al-Mi'raj; Anemone, Giant Sea; Ankheg; Ant, Giant; Ant, Giant (Queen); Arach; Aranea; Goblin; Merrow; Ogre Mage; Ogre, Half-.
ANCESTRIES
- Added the Crewed and Weak to Sunlight aspects to the Goblin ancestry, and removed the Martially Trained aspect.
- Added the Naturally Armed aspect to the Arachnid ancestry and removed the Tricky aspect.
- The Resourceful and Survivalist ancestry aspect name has been changed to Survivalist.
- Removed the Total Value in the aspects column from the Non-humanoid Ancestries experience cost table.
- Moved the Creating a Humanoid Ancestry section to the end of the Ancestries appendix, and clarified its guidelines.
OTHERS
- You can't clear the shaken condition with the Hearten move.
- [NEW] Added the following to the weak hit outcome of the Compel move: "If you are making this move in combat to surrender, coerce, or negotiate a truce, choose a weak hit option of the End the Fight move."
- [NEW] Added a table for general stat descriptors in the Descriptors chapter.
- The narrative condition of the Suffering motivation now states: "When you willingly suffer physical or mental damage..."
- [NEW] Added Teeth or Peak, and Tail, as weapons. This will make the acquisition of non-humanoid companions more consistent with the rest of the system.
- [NEW] Added the following to the Nails or Spiked Gloves weapon: "If this is your natural weapon, you may upgrade it to claws for 2 experience. You retain the enhancement."
- [NEW] Added the Remedy consumable item.
- The Unstable Drinks has been slightly rewritten.
- Tweaked the Net trap to only entangle on a miss.
- [NEW] Hyperlinks now supported.
- [NEW] Selectable text now supported.
- Addressed some typos.
