Ok first, it's on Adult Swim, so they are aiming for a certain type of fan. To me, the tone is too whimsical considering the subject matter. The fight sequence in the prison was way too over the top (and too long) for the art style and honestly, not much of a homage to how Spike fought (he didn't just do leg kicks). They should have had one or two scenes of it and made it more "real" and serious. And the whole parkour thing. They lifted a lot of it from Casino Royale and MI yeah. Again, went way too much/overboard. And doves...like John Woo? Too much homage here and not enough substance. Art was well, western theme. It wasn't bad per say but considering the money involved, I expected a lot more from the CGI parts. I'll give it 3 eps, hopefully, we get the real story. It's only 13 eps though.
