What It Took to Restore BMW E39 5er Back to its Former Glory - Project Rottweil: P7

Direct link - https://youtu.be/7buE7bd1QNw

The rejuvenation of project Rottweil has been completed!

We sorted out the mechanical side of things, interior and now exterior. It took quite some time and effort to make this episode, as with the actual work on the car and also with editing the video. The end result speaks for itself. Toledo blue E39 530i Touring looks gorgeous again!

While we are done with the restoration process, we are not done improving it. In August will come another episode where will install the Infinitas supercharger, and at some later date, a 6-speed manual swap.

I hope you enjoy this episode! I'm now away for about two weeks to get hitched and upon returning, the engine from the donor E93 M3 is coming out. I already filmed the intro and the car is on the lift, just need to start working. Thank you again for the best wishes and nice comments. Love you all!

Sreten. I just had brand new LED headlights installed on my F30. In one episode you used a ceramic coating on the headlight housings to protect them from fading. I don’t recall the brand. Can you tell me what it is?

Damn man, how is that possible... i bet the OEM quality is gone long time ago, so sad

The E39 headlights are nice to retrofit because they lack full adaptive functions. My e46 has full adaptive lights and the wiring completely crumbled. I spent 3k USD on brand new OE lights and the wiring is already showing breaks after 10 months. Absolutely unacceptable
