Sumire Uesaka who voices Alya learned Russian in university for 4 years and she is proficient in English and Chinese too. She is a self-proclaimed lover of Russian culture (not politics) and has been cast in roles that have her speak Russian like Nonna in Girls und Panzer and Anastasia in Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls. She also voiced our fav flat vampire Shalltear Bloodfallen too. The Alya role was basically made for her and her accent is fine for a none-russian.
