Long Overdue Service - 1983 BMW E30 320i 5-speed - Project Marbais: Part 3

Direct link - https://youtu.be/7N17UMMZRas

The new video is finally up! Part 3 of project Marbais is all about wrenching.

Thorough service of the engine is completed. I was planning to do more work in this episode, but a broken bolt got in the way.

As you would expect on an automotive channel, we are hunting down a wild animal in this video too.

The next episode should arrive quicker.
Thanks for your patience and support!

FYI - I made a mistake when exporting the video, it ends at 38:52 but it added a black screen until 40:34. That will be corrected in the next few hours. I didn't want to re-upload it as it takes nearly 2 hours to complete the upload.

Vacuum hoses are typically larger in diameter, but if it's resistant to fuel, it'll be resistant to oil vapors too.

Great looking mobile tool chests!

Nice to see you using the tools I sent you!

Great vid, thank you! In your experience, is there difference between vacuum and fuel hoses? When I ask for vacuum tubes in local shops, I mostly get blank stares....

Brilliant work! Yes, there always seems to be some sort of glitch somewhere to prevent smooth, forward progress. Haha

Thanks and congrats on the purchase! Last year e39 M5 in LMB, doesn't get better than that :)

I checked, no one has it. Yes, works the same. I'll remove mine and see what's what, but I also read on forums it's not serviceable. E28 went also NLA not long ago.

What a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon, great work as usual, Sreten. A couple months ago I picked up a 2003 M5 in glorious Le Mans blue, my dream car since I was 16 years old. Really looking forward to watching you going through project Skövde as I go through my project Atlanta.

I was lucky to get the air slide valve for my e28 from the stealership. Did you check Walloth and Nesch, perhaps they still have some stock? I dont know if the one on the e30 works the same as the e28s.I know mine has 2 vacuum hoses and theres a slider inside the unit that moves when the temperature goes up.My old unit that failed, the slider was stuck in on position,I sprayed some WD40 inside,it came loose, but not for long and seized up again.Ill send you a pic in a PM
