First Time On The Road In 6 Years - V12 BMW E32 750iL - Project Karlsruhe: Part 6

Direct link - https://youtu.be/4BtUtCzhzms

Part 6 of project Karlsruhe has landed!  We hit the road with the E32 after many years of it being out of service. I needed to do a nice test drive to see how badly it leaks and how to proceed with this project.

In the next episode, we'll dive into the engine!

Thank you for your support!

Wish I had room for another BMW project as a really clean, but neglected E32 750il was just listed for sale new me!

Finally joined up since I literally enjoy this content significantly more than anything on a streaming service or the like. Thanks for making these excellent and informative content Sreten!

Thank you, Cliff!

Can’t believe the vid dropped so fast after the E30. Don’t increase the dosage so much, Sreten. We are already highly addicted😅

Just became a Patreon after watching the channel since project Dubai. It’s became quite the addiction!

Great vid. Always love these troubleshooting eps no matter how small the issue is.

A great upgrade for these is the E34 M5 suspension. Totally transformed the way my E32 735i drove. For the better. Well worth exploring.

Flushed a couple of times, and tried with Lukas oil stabilizer, no go... At least it is the only problem left after two years work on it...

Re Trond Pedersen's comment, try a can of Liqui-Moly Motor Oil Saver, Part No. 2020, and let us all know. But it does sound like the motor is on its way out. Re Streten's car, the LiquiMoly Oil Saver will eliminate the blue smoke on delayed startup because it is precisely designed to help the valve seals. I have used it and it works great for that problem. But we all know that won't be enough for you, Streten, so we're looking forward to seeing you replace the valve seals anyway! :-)

Rocket_Ron

I remember we talked about it. All the time or only when it's cold?

M539 Restorations

Btw: trying to change the valve seals are a good start, but it can still be the piston rings, my 750 have good compression, new valve seals and new pcv valves and still burns oil... So the engine is on its way out 😡

I watch all your videos, but these old skool 'repair' ones are really the meat of your channel.

Good to know, thanks. Driveshaft is coming out anyway

This was really helpful. I have an E34 that has a weird battery drain issue (window switch lights are staying) and I'm going to have to dig into the Control Module and relays, etc. "That went well." Hahahahaha! This video was a nice treat on a Friday afternoon. Thanks Sreten.

Very nice. 🖖🙏🇨🇦

The vibration can also be caused by dry u-joint which is quite common on these cars... According to most shops they are staked and non-replaceable, but SKF part number UJ10431 works well and convert them from staked to traditional with internal circlips...

Excellent video, to me the older cara are more interesting so really looking forward to more of this one as well as the E30 and E21. As for the remaining vibrations, I had something very similar on one of my Volvos. It felt just like unbalanced wheels, but mostly between 80 and 100 km, and worse when letting of the throttle. It was a bad centre bearing, so definitely worth checking/replacing. :)

Another excellent video, totally engrossed from beginning to end - we love you too 😊

Great video, the dealer plates are a huge help!

Lovely! 🔆🤩❤️
