Great video. I ran a BMW dealer in the UK when this car was launched. Obviously only smg gearbox. Interlagos Blue with extended full grey leather hide. We our everything into the car you could get. I put 6000 miles on the car before we sold it. It needed a new set of Michelin’s as I had worn them out … ran it in very carefully but once over 1600 miles took it out for a very enthusiastic drive early one Sunday morning. Averaged 6mpg on a high speed run over 15 miles. I have never been as fast in a car and the limiter doesn’t come in at 155 , apparently. It was superb and the noise was sublime… happy days and thanks for the great film!

I was very excited about this one because I currently own E60 (diesel and covered with wrap, so I expect you to kick me several times 😁) and it is a great car. I am very happy to see what you did with this neglected car and as always thanks for your technical and entertaining skills and all the effort you put in your videos.

Congratulations mate! A well deserved first few round trips of many more to come! The car, the sound, the attention to detail ... astonishing (read it as Jeremy Clarkson would). And while the editing, the banter and the sound (dear Lord the SOUND) were superb, what I - surprisingly - enjoyed the most, was the tech talk about transmission fluid and all the pros 'n cons. Anyways: Enjoy your M5 and keep the magnificent turd roaring, cause there's (almost) nothing that's as great as a high revving V10!

Sreten,so does the e60 give you more confidence to push it harder compared to the e39?I love the e39,but to me,it commands way more respect than the e60 regarding driving style.Having driven an e60 M5,e92 M3 and e39 M5 back to back,the e39 made sure I knew it was in charge🤣🤣.If I really had to have an e60,it would have to be in Sepang Bronze.I had a Kyosho Diecast model in that colour and man what a stunning colour it is.

Awesome video as usual. What a sound!!! I had a few E60 M6 and this video brought me back!!!! It’s also amazing that this car still pulls and reaches the 300 km/hr mark with ease considering that it has >240,000 kilometers on board.

Hey. Nice project! But truly, I hate you. You inspired me to buy VW Phaeton as a project car. Unfortunately it’s turbo tractor, but whatever. It had red leather interior and adaptive cruise control. I can live with that. By the way, what fuel are you running on? 95, 98 or 100 octane? Just curious cause i used to had an 1.8t audi from US, and it run like shit on any EU fuels. Until I remaped ECU it drove like non-turbo edition. And as I discovered in process that was regular issue on US spec Audi cars, cause from factory they came with different ECU settings for US market available fuels...

“I’m going to take it easy on it’s first drive…” Proceeds to take it to 300kph. 🤣 You Germans sure are lucky to have the Autobahn, we Americans have speed limits on all major highways and for such a large country that’s a fucking shame, it takes forever to get anywhere and that’s unacceptable. That V10 sound was glorious Streten, you sure know how to pick them. Thanks for the upload it was thoroughly enjoyed and viewed more than one time just to hear that wonderful V10 sound. You do great work my friend, I look forward to many, many more projects!

Hmm, I think it looks weird without it, like something is missing. I think early standard E60s didn't have any and then BMW changed it.
