Yes Jack was the guy from the breakfast club. He and Tom Cruise have been friends since they were both cast as unknown actors in The Outsiders (A movie you should definitely put on your list)

Just balls-to-the-walls, silly John Woo action, slow motion doves and all…So, if you do decide to go on and share the same sentiment about it as most people, don’t be deterred. The last three are the best non-superhero action that a franchise has to offer.
