2022-11-30 00:02:47 +0000 UTCI forgot how much I loved this movie. So fun, so stylish, and yet still a really faithful adaptation of the source material. It takes liberties, just like any adaptation, but I don't think it compromises or loses anything. Honestly my only personal complaint is that the CGI wasn't quite as good as it needed to be. Whenever there was CGI, it stuck out as being CGI, which is extra not-good in a period piece. I wish they had made a third film, but iirc it just conflicted too much with RDJ's duties to Marvel at the time, and so they never did. But there's always hope, tons of franchises have added a final chapter 10+ years later. Glad you're gonna watch the second film, and I'll echo another commentor in saying that you should watch Sherlock BBC; a different take, but still great (at least, first three seasons are. They took took long to make more, so I never went back to watch the rest)
