Most of the time my vote would be complete the series. I think if you haven't seen the other films before you guys should watch them but know that it will probably be only to shit on them. The first movie is great fun, but the 2nd is probably one of the best sequels in cinematic history. The climax combined with the soundtrack of the 2nd film is the highlight of the entire franchise IMO. I also loved the parodying of Hollywood and Disney. Shrek 4D the ride in my opinion was a better sequel than the others, the third and fourth film I didn't really vibe with but it could also be I had outgrown the franchise, but the lack of Donkey and puss made me sad. Antonio, Eddie, and Mike Meyers it was such a gold combo. I wish they were in the sequels more. The entire cast is brilliant, Julie and John as the king and queen, i don't think they could have gotten it any more right. My favourite cameos from the 2nd film is Larry King as ugly stepsister lol and Joan Rivers. The movies after the 2nd one just felt like they lacked that passion that the 2nd film had in nearly every aspect of it. The scene in fairy godmothers factory was also super cool. This was class leading animation at the time.
