Remember in book 2, The Guru I believe, when Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee were disguised as Kyoshi Warrriors? Well, the Earth King them tells her directly about the invasion on the day of the solar eclipse. I think the show may have been styled so that we forget about it by the time 3x10 comes. But, that's why no one is there. They had weeks to prepare. I think that's why this isn't the finale and maybe why the episodes leading up to it are both filler ish here and there, but also have a purpose later.
2022-10-29 21:55:06 +0000 UTCFun fact: the female guard that's nice to Iroh is voiced by Serena Williams (she also apparently voiced a sage in Legend of Korra) because she was a big fan of the series when it first started airing on TV so the creators offered her a part (I'm guessing they picked such a small role due to her busy schedule at the time). Damn Aang must have picked a super special rock to get that clean of a haircut with no cuts lol. Sokka (as well as the whole gang of course) was so cool this episode. When I tell you I almost cried when I thought they'd lost thier dad as a kid because it would be terrible for Sokka & Katara to become orphans & now I'd be sad because Hakoda is way too fine to die lol. I'm happy you picked up on the caterpillar thing with the tanks design/mechanics because a lot of other reactors I've watched never seem to notice that detail.
