A Shonen cooking show? Another I can think of I really enjoyed is 'Yakitate!! Japan'. Hell, a manga I really loved but got cancelled because it wasn't popular in Japan was a Shonen manga about making manga, kind of like 'Bakuman' but with far more head to head Shonen manga battles between students. I can't remember what it was called, but it was made by the person who made 'My Monster Secret'. (which was an amazing manga but apparently the anime was no good)
