2022-10-04 20:16:36 +0000 UTCI loved this book too, and it was one of my favorites along with The Horse and His Boy. They nailed Eustace and of course Reepicheep again. So there isn't a one to one time conversion between our world and Narnia, in the book The Last Battle there's a scene where the King of Narnia makes an appearence in our world asking for help, and a few seconds later Eustace and his friend come to narnia, but in our world weeks had passed. In the book, the merepeople are a lot meaner and appear to be itching for a fight with The Dawn Treader. He's such a small character, but Drinian the captain just feels like such a good fit for the role. In the book, they're capture taking a stroll across an island only used for cattle grazing. Reepicheep and Eustace's friendship is one of my all time favorite friendships in any movie. In the book caspian does marry the star and have kids. There's a quote from klingon in Star trek Deep space 9 that's really appropriate for dark island, "there's no greater enemy than one's own fears". In the book. Eustace is no longer the dragon during the fight against the serpent but just charges the serpent and tries pushing it off the ship, which is how they defeat it, and the serpent is too stupid to realize he didn't get the ship. Peter, Edmond and Lucy along with the professor from the first movie and his friend do return to Narnia in the final book. They die in a train wreck but are called into Narnia at the end of the world. Them coming to Narnia was about them not Narnia, i wouldn't say its necessarly more so this book compared to others, but it is a theme throughout.
